Pupils from Collegiate High School will be the first in the city to test the Mobi-Pad device - an educational suite programmed into an electronic tablet.

BAY beauty Chloe Munton is set to make waves at the Elle New Talent Fresh Face Search (EFFS) 2012 where she hopes to take the title. The Collegiate High School Grade 11 pupil entered the competition two months ago, not expecting much.

It gives us great pleasure to congratulate Kate Ferreira as Head Girl and Callan Schroeder as Deputy Head Girl of Collegiate for 2012.

Two Collegiate girls, Mu'minah Connelly and Jessica Liss leave tomorrow for Lima, Peru to compete in the Fina World Youth Championships.

The grade 9 learners were once again challenged to start their own business and run it successfully on their own for ten days. The task was simple, using R100 as seed capital, the learners had to run a business for ten days and show a profit. Failure to make a profit meant failing the project.

Collegiate High School for Girls equestrian team scored the most points and came out tops in the high school team competition of the South African National Equestrian School Association (Sanesa) 2011 Regional Finals in Grahamstown recently.

We are very proud of our Level 1 Synchronised swimmers; they competed in their first provincial competition, and achieved excellent results.

We are very excited and proud of our 1st Team Hockey girls who will be leaving on their tour to the Netherlands on the 26th March. We have been very priveleged to be able to secure wonderful sponsorship for our girls namely from Shamwari Game Reserve and Nelson Mandela Bay.

Congratulations to Sinazo Bidli, a matric pupil at Collegiate High, who was one of 3 winners in the Herald La Femme Reach For A Dream : Wear Your Matric Farewell Dress competition.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Laura Smith and Anna Griebenouw on been elected Head Girl and Deputy Head respectively for Collegiate for 2011. Congratulations!

This matter was set down to be heard in the High Court, East London on 21st September 2010. On the morning of the 21st September the state engaged with us in an effort to settle the case. We are now pleased to report that the case has been settled and an order of court was made as follows:

PORT Elizabeth matriculant Jessica Roux took gold in the 5km Open Water Swim at the Senior Africa Swimming Championships in Casablanca, Morocco, yesterday.

A PORT Elizabeth pupil is the only diver from the Eastern Cape to make the national team that will represent South Africa at the Fina World Junior Diving Championships in Arizona in the United States next month.

We congratulate Rebecca Muller, Vela Njisane and Phinda Njisane on their excellent performance in the recent MINQUIZ run by Mintek at NMMU.

Dear Staff, Girls, Parents and Supporters, As we move along with the winter sporting fixtures, it is as well to remind ourselves of our “sporting philosophy”. I am sure that you are as concerned as we are, at the decline in the standards of sporting behaviour both on and off the field in most codes of sport.

Wednesday 10 March 2010 will certainly go down in the annals of Collegiate as a special day of celebration as the long awaited new wing was officially unveiled.

We are concerned about the danger our girls face from parents in cars.

The Collegiate girls can be proud of themselves for taking the Eco-Club’s Recycling project seriously by collecting 2.2 tons of paper for recycling during the first term.
