The grade 9 learners were once again challenged to start their own business and run it successfully on their own for ten days. The task was simple, using R100 as seed capital, the learners had to run a business for ten days and show a profit. Failure to make a profit meant failing the project.

Collegiate High School for Girls equestrian team scored the most points and came out tops in the high school team competition of the South African National Equestrian School Association (Sanesa) 2011 Regional Finals in Grahamstown recently.

As we move along with the winter sporting fixtures, it is as well to remind ourselves of our “sporting philosophy”. I am sure that you are as concerned as we are, at the decline in the standards of sporting behaviour both on and off the field in most codes of sport.

Wednesday 10 March 2010 will certainly go down in the annals of Collegiate as a special day of celebration as the long awaited new wing was officially unveiled.
